Youth Select Committee inquiry into knife crime
The Youth Select Committee, run by the British Youth Council, has decided to open an inquiry into knife crime.
Knife crime was voted as the top issue by the young people who were consulted in the Make Your Mark ballot.
The inquiry will look at the UK Government’s current strategy and whether they are doing enough to effectively deal with knife crime, and views on current or potential prevention and intervention strategies.
You can respond to the inquiry in two ways. You can send a written response to the terms of reference, or you can complete the short survey on the issue. You can find the survey here, and more information on sending a written response here.
The inquiry will also take oral evidence from witnesses in July.
