Anglesey’s The Youth Council ‘Llasi Ni’ represents young people between the ages of 11-25 who live, work or are in education on Anglesey.
Being part of the Youth Council enables the members to have more of a say about the decisions that affect them and to inform service providers of ways they can work together to plan differently for the future leading to improved services that meet the young people’s needs as well as the wider community. The members are encouraged to take part in any way that suits them – either choosing how they want to take part (e.g. via social media, internet/telephone/postal surveys, community events, face to face meetings, forums etc.) Or which topics they have the most interest in (e.g. crime and community safety, education and schools, health and social care, housing, leisure and jobs). Allowing young people the freedom to take part, they can do as little or as much as they like!
